Ongoing & Upcoming EFS Events

EFS Swim and Pizza Party

Sunday, July 27th, 2pm to late

Join your dance buddies for a day of frolic in the country near Cottage Grove, at Ken and Jane's 32 acre country place. EFS members and friends (including Corvallis) are welcome to arrive anytime after 2pm that day for hiking, swimming, and sports in the afternoon, followed by a potluck and make-your-own pizza in an outdoor wood-fired brick pizza oven. Evening moves into music and song around a campfire, and an attempt to have a talent show for all you sorta talented persons.
Wow, what a day!

First Wednesday Song Circle

The EFS Song Circle for July will be on Wednesday, July 2nd from 7:00-9:00 at the home of Lee, at 712 S. 37th St. in Springfield. (directions below)

Bring your copy of Rise Up Singing. If you want to share a song to sing that is not in that book, bring at least 12 copies of a lyric sheet that also has the chords.

We always welcome anyone who brings a stringed instrument such as a guitar, banjo, mandolin, to provide gentle chordal context and rhythm.

Not a performance and no worries or inhibitions with this group! Just a bunch of nice and jolly folks who like to laugh, and who like to sing songs in the evening after supper. You may bring a snack to share, but okay if not. We always have plenty.

Directions to Lee's house: 712 S. 37th St., Springfield. If coming out Main St., heads up at S. 35th St., as there is no S. 36th St. Just before 37th St. there is a "SPEED 40" sign. Turn right immediately after the Speed 40 sign. If coming by freeway, take the 42nd St. exit, and turn right. Turn right again at Main St. (Taco Bell). Turn left on 37th St. It is the last house on the right hand side, tall fir tree, colorful fence.
