January 11-15, 2012: PORTLAND OLD-TIME GATHERING
Old time music festival with concerts, workshops, jam sessions, and dances.
Feb. 16-19, 2012: The Olympia Old-Time Music Festival
"This is the fourth annual Oly Old-Time Music Festival, held in beautiful Olympia Washington. There will be two square dances, an awesome concert, workshops for various instruments, and tons of jamming all weekend long. This is a festival for old time musicians, square dancers, contra dancers, folk enthusiasts, shape note singers, and all others that can enjoy having a good old time. Portland Folkmusic Society's 28th annual Singtime Frolics is a weekend of folk music at woodsy Camp Adams near Molalla, OR. Song circles! Workshops! Singing and jamming all weekend! Guest artists . April 23-25, 2010: Spring Fling Rendezvous
Annual hammered dulcimer festival at Oral Hill Park (just outside Sandy, OR).
1st weekend in May: Camp Westwind
Salem Folklore Community's Annual Spring Music and Dance Weekend on the Oregon coast, north of Lincoln City. Registration must be postmarked Feb. 24th or later. Usually fills up immediately. A make your own fun weekend of music dance and song, usually featuring swing, contras, and Scandinavian, all other types are welcome. May 21, 2011: Eugene Scottish Festival
Held at Peace Presbyterian Church, 3060 River Road, Eugene, OR. Family events, music & dance performances, parades, etc.
May 25-28, 2012: Northwest Folklife Festival
Memorial Day Weekend, Seattle Center. Free music, dancing, jamming, crafts, food, workshops, film, and more....... Attendance can reach 50,000 people on a sunny day.
June 19-25, 2011:  Lady of the Lake - Music and Dance Camp
a week long dance camp, sponsored by the Spokane Folklore Society. Held on Lake C'oeur d'Alene, Idaho, 60 miles east of Spokane.
July 1-8, 2012: Festival of American Fiddle Tunes
Port Townsend, Washington. week-long series of workshops and performances, with nationally and internationally renowned staff.
July 4-8, 2012: Waterfront Blues Festival
Big name Blues music, Portland OR.
July 13-15, 2012: Oregon Country Fair
Veneta, OR. Music, food, crafts, creativity, costumes, circus, parade, and more. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Free buses from Eugene locations.

July 29 - August 6, 2011: Lark in the Morning World Music & Dance Camp.
Lark Camp is an 8 day long celebration of music & dance in the Mendocino redwood forest every year at the beginning of August. There are jam sessions 24 hours a day, music & dance workshops with over 90 instructors, dances, parties and more. Workshops cater to beginners as well as professionals. Irish, French, Andean, Balkan, Cajun, American, Middle Eastern, Mexican, Latin, African, Swedish, English, Breton and more. Full camp is 8 days, half camp is 4 days.
August 12-19, 2012: Centralia Old-Time Music Campout
Centralia, WA. A week for musicians to hang out and jam. Camping with stream nearby for swiming. Bathroom/shower facilities. Suggested donation $60.
August 5-7, 2011: 8th Annual Pickathon Roots Music Festival
The festival showcases many of the nationally known roots musicians from the Pacific Northwest, including bluegrass, blues, swing, folk, Cajun, roots rock, alt-country, western, country, Celtic, jug-band, old-time. Weekend tickets only. Free camping/parking. Horning's Hideout, North Plains, OR.
Labor Day Weekend: Bumbershoot Festival
Seattle, WA. Big name musicians and artists. Three-day passes cost $80 to $420 in advance, more at the festival. Single day passes also available. "Since 1971, Bumbershoot has drawn artists representing the best in music, film, comedy, spoken word, dance, theatre, performance, and visual arts to the Seattle Center over Labor Day weekend. North America's largest urban arts festival, Bumbershoot takes place in the heart of the city at the 74-acre Seattle Center. Over 150,000 visitors from near and far spend the weekend reveling in the world of Bumbershoot, experiencing everything from regional favorites to international superstars across all arts disciplines."
September 7-9, 2012: Sisters Folk Festival
American roots music from blues to bluegrass, Sisters, OR. (Usually the weekend AFTER Labor Day)
September 10-11, 2011: Shrewsbury Renaissance Faire
Kings Valley, OR
Mid-September: Eugene Celebration
Weekend long celebration & parade. Film Festival, live music stages, participatory dance workshops, KidZone. Held in downtown Eugene.
Early October: Silver Falls Musical Gathering
Sponsored by the Corvallis Folklore Society and held in Silver Falls State Park east of Salem. "Campers' Camp" weekend of music, singing, informal concerts & dancing, amongst beautiful trees and nearby waterfalls.
New Years week: Northwest New Year's Camp "The Bash on Vashon"
All ages, DIY "campers' camp" event, with dancing, workshops, music, and more. Sign up to lead workshops and dances.
